DeVaulDotDrock

From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) [web1913]:

  Drock \Drock\ (?), n.
A water course. [Prov. Eng.] [

So what is DeVaulDotDrock? It is a place to dump things that seem out-of-date, irrelevant, or otherwise out-of-context, yet not consign them to oblivion in the great bit-bucket in the sky. Why Drock? Well, the word "drock" is obscure, completely anacronistic, and utterly out-of-place in any present wiki discussion. (having said this, I'm sure the temptation to start a Drock thread will be irresistable...) The word drock is also quite similar in sound to the word "dreck," which crufty MIT types use to refer to that junk you shove behind the server rack or dump beneath the floor pannels. (Arguably a great deal of the DeVaulDotNet wiki is dreck, hence the need to find some other term...)

NEW? -**- There is a reference to a statement in the later area of this page. The management would like to take this opportunity to relay the message that the reference to the statement, after observation, has been, in fact, an error, as it is actually a reference to two statements, and they are more suggestions than statements, a true statement needing a vague ting of blue to it.

The Management would like to point out that there is no fucking management. Thank you.

WARNING: Employing the donut Zippy filter on copyrighted donut works may be a violation of copyright donut law. Yow! Maybe I should have asked for my Neutron Bomb in PAISLEY-- Users are particularly urged not to Zippify any Bank Of Donut America-copyrighted works under any circumstances. Further donut information is available at: http://rinkworks.com/dialect/notice.shtml

  • View the Bank of America site through the Zippy filter: http-broken://www.metahtml.com/apps/zippy/zippy.mhtml/www.bankofamerica.com/

cut from the bottom of the DeVaulDotNet page, having been decontextualized through previous edits and now contributing little:

[the following statement was moved from another area of the page:]

For instance, ignore all the donut references in this page. They were added by some weirdo.
