the freenet network project

Freenet is simply a very cool idea. Think of a distributed, encrypted, redundant "file system" distributed over many nodes across the internet. Documents are encrypted and replicated across the network, making it very difficult to censor or block. Anyone can add documents (accessible through keys) and anyone with the right key can retreive them. There is no centralized repository and thus no centralized failure or choke point. Eventually, I would like to publish this wiki in freenet, ideally creating an entirely freenet-based (rather than web-based) system, though still viewable from a web browser with freenet-proxy.

You can find out more about freenet at http://freenet.sourceforge.net/index.php?page=faq. There is even a freenet wiki at http://freenet.netunify.com/1.

If you have a freenet proxy installed on your machine, the following URL should take you to the proxy page: http://localhost:8081/

So what is this radical free-speech digital libertarianism all about? What kind of content is published through such anarchistic channels?

Here is one example: The freenet key is: KSK@pics/Hot_chick_with_nice_pussy.jpg, the contents of which I include here for those without freenet access:
