Common Sense Reasoning

A web site that collects common sense knowledge from the general public.

http://openmind.media.mit.edu

Commentary by RichardWayne:

This is an effort, organized by Media Lab student Push Singh, to construct a reasonable and tractable representation of "common sense" knowledge. Common sense reasoning is one of the holy grails of classical AI, and this kind of large-scale "fact based" approach is not new. The most famous project in this area is CYC, which was begun in 1984. CYC is now available on the web: http://www.cyc.com/
