Spain is one of the most popular countries for overseas buyers, and whether you’re buying property as a holiday home, a permanent residence or as an investment, villas to buy in Spain are plentiful. Many buyers focus on the country’s hot spots, including Mallorca, the Costa Brava and Malaga, all of which attract buyers with their beaches, great climate and excellent amenities. However, along with Madrid and Barcelona, these are also some of the priciest places in Spain to buy property, and if you want your pound, dollar or Euro to go further, some other areas might appeal. In particular, the Murcia area of Spain is considered one of the country’s most affordable areas. It boasts around 250 miles of coastline, but it hasn’t been developed as much as other areas, and villas can be found here for much less than in other areas.
