In the United States, there are over 18 million people with disabilities. That’s roughly 12% of the total population and includes 4.3 million unemployed adults! Disabled adults face many challenges in trying to find jobs that suit their abilities and needs. How can we help disabled adults get jobs? This is a popular question, with no easy answer. You can do plenty of things to help disabled adults find employment, but it will take time and patience on your part.

I will share three ways you can assist them in getting their dream job!

2) Offer Job Opportunities That Can Be Done From Home: Employers may not be willing to hire disabled adults who need more flexibility than others because they are worried about the potential for lack of productivity. However, plenty of opportunities can be managed from homes such as customer service, transcription services, or content writing!

3) We can help disabled adults get jobs by assisting employers to hire them. Employers will save money hiring disabled employees because they may not require as much training or supervision when on the job. This saves a company time and money in its payroll budget. Hiring disabled individuals helps them become productive members of society instead of sitting idle on welfare rolls.

For instance, a person in a wheelchair may not be able to do certain tasks such as lifting heavy objects or climbing stairs.
