A pregnancy journal is just what it sounds like, and although it can take an effort, it’s something that can be a reminder of one of the most exciting times in your life. Writing a journal can actually make you more efficient and can relieve stress. And in years to come, your child will get a unique and personal insight into those nine months. If possible, start writing as soon as you know you are pregnant; writing at the same time each day can help to establish a routine. And don’t overthink it; if you aren’t a gifted writer, it doesn’t matter and the point is just to record your feelings and thoughts. To make it interesting, add other information too, such as cards from friends, how family and friends reacted to the news, what was on TV or happening in the world at the time.
