ADAS technology is aiming to make driving safer and easier. Advanced driver assistance systems are already being used in private cars, taxi cabs, delivery trucks, and other vehicles with great results. In the future, these systems will become so refined that they can drive cars without human assistance.
One example of this technology is adaptive cruise control. It uses radar or laser to monitor the distance between the car and other vehicles. It makes sure that there is always a safe buffer by adjusting the speed so that the driver doesn’t have to worry about it.
Another is the lane departure warning system which detects the edges of the lane to check if the car is drifting too close to these. It can either make a slight adjustment in the car’s direction or send an audible or visual alert so that the driver can make the move manually.
