If you like yogurt or are trying to like it, you should know some brands are better than others. A good probiotic yogurt consumed daily can improve gut health and the immune system. But, you need to find the right yogurt that provides the necessary probiotics.

You will first need to find yogurt with live or active cultures, to be beneficial to your digestive system. It’s also helpful to find a yogurt with little to no sugar, as sugar can disrupt the balance of the digestive system.

You will want a yogurt that contains one or more strains of Lactobacillus, at minimum. There are several brand on the market that are organic or non-GMO that have minimal ingredients beyond milk and live cultures. It’s best to stay away from flavored yogurts, as they contain extra ingredients that may interfere with the work of the active cultures. You can always add your own fruit or other flavor if desired.
