Educational Services consists of many different positions that help educate students and help them develop their interests, skills, and aptitudes. There are many different job titles within this industry. Most elementary & middle school educators are the most prevalent position, but the Educational Services Industry Sub-sector includes many administrators, teaching aids, and special education professionals.
Most administrators begin their careers as Teachers’ aides or classroom teachers; some also begin as co-curricular members of clubs and community organizations, such as drama clubs or student councils.
Attending a college or university is an essential step towards a successful career in the education services industry. It is not uncommon for individuals to begin as an Elementary School teacher, becoming a Secondary School Principal, or eventually a Director of Education before becoming a Manager of Educational Services. High schools, colleges, and universities also employ knowledgeable individuals in the educational services industry to teach specific courses.
