Effective shoe storage can be a challenge especially if you just have too many shoes! Storing your shoes in pull out bins under the bed is an obvious solution; an alternative to that is to store them in hanging packets under the bedskirt. To conserve closet space, hang them on the wall or hang a shoe rack somewhere; it can be hidden by a curtain. Shoes can be easily stored in an ottoman or stacked neatly on the stairs, with one pair on each step. Some everyday items are ideal for storing shoes in and can be used vertically, to take up as little floor space as possible. Sawn off PVC pipes make ideal shoe containers, as do wooden pallets, curtain rods and towel rails. If you have shoes you don’t wear often, storing them in the basement, shed or garage is a practical solution.
