Since getting to the gym may be impossible at the moment it may be a good time to try some home workout apps. There are a wide variety of these and they fall into the following types:

• Short Workouts – typically lasting between 5 and 7 minutes these workouts can be done anywhere and represent the minimum in terms of healthy activity.

• Workouts on Demand – there are many of these as well, some paid, some free and that vary in price and quality. Some offer live classes while others are pre-recorded.

• Activity Tracking – these apps keep track of every all a person’s activities and provide data about them (how many steps a person took, for example, and how many calories this burned). Some allow you to choose different activities to be measured and can also be connected with fitness tracking apps.
