A site feedback tool is an application that helps people that own websites to see how users are using their sites so that they can make usability improvements. There are a variety of website feedback tools available that can show where users look on a page and other metrics about site use – such as how long they spent on a page or when they clicked away from the site.

These tools are important because unless visitors have a good experience on a site relatively quickly they will move on to another web page. If they encounter, for example, broken links, missing page elements (such as images) or the design of the site is confusing they will often become frustrated. These tools measure user experience (UX) which refers to how users respond to a site’s design, usability, functions, readability and ease of use. By getting feedback from actual user’s site owners can see where they need to focus on improvements to their site.
