Frisbee golf is a type of game in which players throw a Frisbee at a target and is played using similar rules to those that apply in golf. It is usually played on a course with either 9 or 18 holes, like a standard golf course.

To compete, players throw the Frisbee from a tee area towards a designated target. If they do not reach the target on the first throw they throw again from the place the previous throw landed the Frisbee and so on until they reach the target. The throws used to reach the target are tallied (usually against a ‘par’ value) and the winner is the player that has used the least number of throws for each target across the entire course.

The game has become quite popular worldwide and is currently played in over 40 countries. In 2019 there were over 50,000 active members of the Professional Disc Golf Association, a body that regulates the sport.
